Advantages and disadvantages of PVC panels:

  Advantage is  following:

(1) The material is relatively light, waterproof and moisture-proof, and has strong scrub resistance. The cost

 is relatively low.

(2) Different from the plastics we see every day, PVC also has good sound insulation and heat insulation 

properties, especially the addition of flame retardant materials in the new process, so that it can be 

extinguished in case of fire, making it safer to use.

(3) If the PVC ceiling profile is damaged, it is very convenient to update. Just remove the batten at one 

end, pull out the boards from the batten one by one, replace the damaged board with a new one, and then 

reinstall the batten.

The shortcoming is as following:

(1) It has poor high temperature resistance and is easily deformed when working in a hot environment.

(2) Compared with metal ceiling panels, their service life is relatively short.

By the way, some cabinet and bathroom cabinet merchants often use "PVC cabinet door panels do not 

deform when exposed to water" as a selling point, and many students are fooled. PVC does not deform 

when exposed to water, but it is plastic after all. A common disadvantage of plastic materials is that their

 physical properties are not stable enough, so the key problem is that even if PVC does not encounter 

water, it will deform over time.
